Honoring your worth while demanding accountability is a delicate balance, especially when you’re dealing with someone who may never fully acknowledge the harm they've caused.

I know how hard it is. I’ve been there…fighting for accountability from someone who is so emotionally disconnected, they couldn’t even face the reality of their actions. It’s infuriating, disorienting, and often leaves you questioning everything about yourself, the relationship, and what you truly deserve.

And there’s this narrative out there that I just can’t fully align with—the one that tells you to "just leave it alone," or "move on because they’ll never get it." While I understand that sentiment, it doesn’t always feel like the whole truth.

I couldn’t just sit in silence and J’s behavior go unchecked. Not because I thought he’d suddenly have an epiphany, but because it was about me. It was about reclaiming my narrative, honoring my truth, and making it known that the way I was treated wasn’t okay.

I wrote him a letter outlining the harm he caused. And yes, it was terrifying...
